"I visited Incheon National University today after hearing that an admissions information session was being held for overseas Koreans and multicultural families. I am very pleased with the campus facilities, which are clean and pleasant. I would like to thank the staff for explaining the admission guidelines of Incheon National University, which I have always been interested in, in an easy and detailed manner. It was a great help to me. I am currently a senior in high school, and I hope to become a freshman in the Department of Business Administration at Incheon National University next year. Please wish me luck." (Park Jun-hoo, a student from a multicultural family)

On Saturday, July 4, welcomed guests visited Incheon National University, which has been working to enhance living conditions for overseas Koreans and multicultural families in the Incheon area through exchange and social contribution activities since March of this year as part of the 2026 Global Hope Completion Project.

The INU Division of External Cooperation and the RISE Project Group hosted the "Incheon National University Admissions Information Session" for overseas Koreans and multicultural families residing in the area. A total of 81 attendees, including 45 teenagers preparing for college admission and 36 parents, visited the university hand in hand.

On this day, multicultural families from various countries including Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Mongolia, China, Taiwan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, as well as Koryo-saram residing in Hambak Village, visited Incheon National University. The university prepared information session materials tailored to the participants' perspectives and continued with explanations of essential information regarding complex college admission procedures.

Following this, the INU Office of Admissions and the Office of International Support conducted detailed admissions guidance, consultations, and open Q&A sessions divided into "Multicultural and General Admissions" and "International Admissions," receiving highly favorable evaluations from the attendees.

In particular, the interpretation and translation system provided by the INU RISE Project Group translated the admissions presentation and consultation materials into real-time subtitles, which not only increased convenience for the participants but also significantly improved their understanding of the information.

At the beginning of the event, Lee Jun-han, Executive Vice President for Planning at Incheon National University, welcomed the attendees, stating, "I sincerely welcome all of you who visited our campus with the hope of becoming new members of Incheon National University, built upon our connections through the university's excellent programs with overseas Koreans and multicultural families." Vice President Lee further extended his welcome by introducing Incheon National University's dynamic growth.

The youth and parents who attended the event reviewed the admissions materials provided in advance, took notes, and asked enthusiastic questions, extending the event well beyond its originally planned two hours.

Passionate questions continued regarding past admissions results, types of departments and divisions, the correlation between high school grades and admissions, tuition and scholarships, the advantages of a national university, and early and regular admissions schedules. The heated atmosphere in the hall reflected the sincerity and enthusiasm of the participants who hoped that they or their children would become freshmen at Incheon National University.

One parent who participated in the event expressed satisfaction, saying, "Today's information session was a great help in boosting the academic motivation and college aspiration of high school students from multicultural families. It helped the students set their direction for career paths and university selection, and served as an opportunity to specifically understand what they need to prepare during their school life."

A Koryo-saram parent also shared their wish, saying, "It was great to learn more deeply about Incheon National University, and I also liked the INU Public Medical School wet wipes and tumblers provided as souvenirs. I hope my child can definitely get admitted to Incheon National University."

Eom Eun-mi, a team leader at the Yeonsu-gu Family Center who accompanied the multicultural families on this day, shared her impressions, saying, "Thanks to Incheon National University hosting and supporting great programs for overseas Koreans and multicultural families since the beginning of the year, I feel proud that multicultural families seem to regard INU as familiar family members."

Hong Jin-bae, Vice President of International & External Cooperation who planned this event, stated, "In an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning and value of the Incheon Regional Innovation System & Education (i-RISE) program, we will ensure that overseas Koreans and multicultural families walk arm in arm with Incheon National University and elevate the value of coexistence as members of society."
