The Div. of Design aims to foster creative design talents capable of presenting future-oriented design values ​​and visions by rationally solving various design-related problems and encouraging a flexible and broad individual design mindset through balanced integrated education via diverse interdisciplinary operations, in order to create a new design culture required by the 21st-century knowledge and information society.

In addition, it is carrying out advanced design education that leads the improvement of culture and arts in Incheon and the establishment of a new knowledge society by providing experience in various fields across design as specialized areas, such as visual design, video design, packaging design, illustration, animation, digital content, 3D stereoscopic video, and product design, expanding international design exchanges, conducting convergence education between design and cutting-edge digital media technology, and implementing design support policies to realize high added value in the regional industrial economy.

In addition, the Div. of Design offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs.
