Student-Designed Convergence Major
Major Overview
The Student-Designed Convergence Major provides students with opportunities to develop competencies aligned with their aptitudes and areas of interest that are not offered within the existing academic structure. The program is designed to support students in developing their talents and pursuing their career goals.
Students may independently design and complete a curriculum suited to their aptitudes, regardless of departmental boundaries. Upon completion, the program may be recognized as either a minor or a double major.
Credit Requirements
- When completed as a double major: At least 42 credits in the primary major and at least 42 credits in the Student-Designed Convergence Major
- When completed as a minor: At least 60 credits in the primary major and at least 21 credits in the Student-Designed Convergence Major
- If the curricula of the Student-Designed Convergence Major and the primary major include overlapping courses, up to 12 credits may be recognized toward both programs for a double major and up to 9 credits for a minor.
Application Procedure
- Application Period: June to July , December to January
- Application Method
- 1. Design a curriculum in consultation with a professional advisor using UNIAI.
- 2. Submit a transfer request through UNIAI and complete the application through the Integrated Information System.
※ Consultations are available throughout the year. - Eligibility: Currently enrolled students and students scheduled to return from a leave of absence who have completed at least two semesters
Consulting Services
- A professional advisor dedicated to convergence majors is available on campus.
- Individualized consulting is provided by a career development specialist with a doctoral degree in education.
